-- Due to popular demand, Rich Dreher has decided to do a 3rd run of his
CompactFlash for Apple II interface card. The card allows the user to
install either an IDE hard drive or a CompactFlash card as a mass storage
device for their Apple II. Dreher will be building this batch of cards by
hand, and is currently awaiting parts delivery. For price and ordering
information, please visit: http://spudboy.dreher.net/CFforAppleII

-- Apple II Networking

  - Stretching the limits of what the Apple II can do has always been a
favorite focus of A2 users. Networking the Apple II to other computers
has been attempted over the years with mixed results. Bart Pilgrimer of
the "Network From Heck" fame has compiled a collection of posts and other
information relating to the subject. Check out:
http://www.syndicomm.com/~pilgrimer/nfh/ for more information.

  - Apple II News and Notes Publisher Ryan Suenaga has released a bug fix
update of his TheirIP.NDA. This NDA, in conjunction with a GS networked
using the Marinetti software, will allow network users to resolve domain
names and give numeric IP addresses. The update can be found at:
http://lamp.a2central.com/ryans_software/TheirIP.NDA/TheirIP1b3.BXY

-- Apple IIGS users looking to either enhance a basic model, or looking
for a backup RAM card should check out Bill Garber and Vince Briel's
RAM-4-GS card. A supply of this card is still available for purchase.
If interested, ordering information can be found at:

-- Emulation News

Several announcements were made concerning upgrades to current Apple II
emulation products:

 - AppleComander has been upgraded. Version 1.3.3.8 has improved support
for Apple UCSD Pascal disk images and contains several bug fixes. It can
be downloaded at: http://www.wright.edu/~john.matthews/ac.html

 - Gerard Putter has released an updated version of his 8-bit Apple II
emulator, Virtual ][. Running under Mac OS X. version 3.1 includes
several new improvements including better monitor resolution on your
Macintosh, new toolbar and menu commands, improved sound emulation, and
//e vs ][+ emulation. More information about the program can be found at:
http://www.xs4all.nl/~gp/VirtualII/

 - Lazarus Long's ADFS utility for Mac OS and Mac OS X has been upgraded
to version 1.0a36. The program will let users work with Apple II files
which reside on DOS 3.3, ProDOS, Apple Pascal, and CP/M disks using a
Macintosh computer. This a bug fix that resolves a problem with the
program's interaction with ProDOS disks. Information about the program's
shareware fees, payment/donation alternatives, and downloading
instructions can be found at: http://www.lazilong.com/apple_II/adfs/
